Sue Johnson

About Sue

Now living in the beautiful bayside suburb of Manly with husband and their 2 children, Sue has always had a love and fascination for wildlife, which she has combined with her love of graphite artwork.

Honing her drawing skills under the tutelage of wildlife artist Gail Higgins, Sue’s Silverback Dream graphite piece, featured in QWASI’s international wildlife exhibition, held at the Logan Art Gallery in 2005.

Later that year she won a Highly Commended award for her graphite work Flight, at a student exhibition held at Trevor Platt’s Studio Gallery, Wynnum.

With graphite being her preferred medium, Sue also combines this with coloured pencil to achieve a subtle contrast in her pieces.
