About Janeen

Janeen

Having a passionate interest in nature, I am inspired by my Country’s beautiful flora and unique fauna and hopefully my art reflects my deep respect for the natural environment.

My work is detailed and realistic and can be brightly coloured or quietly tonal, aiming for that true interpretation of atmosphere, subject or surroundings. I have studied drawing, painting and Wildlife Art at the Vikki Harvey Art School and have completed the intensive course of study at the Margaret Saul School of Botanical Art at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane .

To capture line, tone, colour and particularly light is a very necessary part of my creative life.

I am constantly pursuing artistic excellence and this has been recognised in awards received and ready sales.

I have exhibited and sold my pastel drawings and acrylic paintings in Australia and more recently in Europe , United Kingdom and America.

I am an exhibiting member of the Queensland Wildlife Artists Society Inc., the Pastel Society of Australia Inc., Nature in the Raw Wildlife Artists Group and the Old School House Gallery.

My work is represented in the Old School House Gallery, Cleveland Point , Queensland and in private collections in Australia , America and the United Kingdom.

My family and my passion for painting makes my life complete.
