Annelise Howes

Award winning Australian wildlife artist, Annelise, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and emigrated to Australia in 1971. She immediatly fell in love with Australia's unique Flora and Fauna. She is a keen birdwatcher and works as a volunteer in the "Go Bush" program at Brisbane Forest National Park.

Since giving up teaching full time in 1998 to concentrate on her art, Annelise has won various awards and is an exhibiting member and treasurer of the Queensland Wildlife Artist Association.

Annelise regularly travells to Australias remote wilderness ares such as the Red Centre, the Simpson Desert, Cape York, Kakadu and Tasmania to gather inspiration and resource material for her artworks. Her love for Australia and it's wildlife is reflected in her colourful and vibrant paintings.

Annelise works in oil, acrylic and pastel and enjoys a successful sideline drawing pet portraits.
